Scholar's Blog Book Discussion Group

One of the best thing about being on the Cybils nominating committee was the chance to talk about books with other people who also love children's literature. Now, there's another great opportunity to discuss good (hopefully!) books: Michele of Scholar's Blog has started a book discussion group on her blog. Each month, she will post a book to read on her blog, and then a month later, discussion will commence in a blog post. The first selection is King of Shadows by Susan Cooper. I'm looking forward to reading it, because I love Susan Cooper, but I haven't read this one yet.

Thanks for the mention Sheila...

(What do you mean "hopefully" ! Don't you trust me ? *grins*)

No, I trust you, and in fact I think we often have similar taste. I just meant that as we saw in the Cybils nomination process, different people can have widely different opinions of the same book. But that's what'll make the discussions interesting, n'est-ce pas?

Indeed it is...

And of course, if anyone doesn't fancy the book, they can vote with their fingers and not come along to discuss it !
