"It was a dark and stormy night." This year is the 50th anniversary of one of my favorite books, A Wrinkle in Time. Listening Library/Random House Audio is releasing a new audiobook version tomorrow. Here's a sample. Update: the widget wasn't working, but it has been corrected and should work now.

Oh. Sigh. I would reread this book, but I fear it would not speak to me in the same way. Maybe I will instead try to get more students to read it.
I know what you mean, Ms. Yingling. Some childhood favorites just don't hold up when you reread them as adults, and I'm always nervous about reading a book I remember fondly from my younger days.
By the way, if anyone tried the widget and found it didn't work, Listening Library has corrected it and it works now.
