Disappointed in Blogger

I finally got up my courage to convert my blog to the new blogger. The good news is that the conversion went smoothly. The bad news is that everything is exactly the same. I don't see any of the new features. After doing some searching, it looks like because I use ftp to publish my blog on my own server, I won't be able to use any of the new features. That really sucks. I'm not sure why I bothered converting my blog. I'm really disappointed.

It'll probably take them some time to get around to including the upgrades for FTP published Blogs - assuming they actually do upgrade...

I'm not sure that they ever will. I saw something that said that they might not make the new features available on ftp blogs, because the new features depend on their dynamic serving. :-(

Ah, right... I must confess I've not taken any notice of FTP-related issues, since they're not relevant to me... That's a pain ! No tags for you, then ?

No, I don't think so. It actually asks me for labels when I create a post, but I can't find any way to actually use the labels. Nor can I use the cool blog archive feature like you have, with the pop-out list of posts for each month.

I see you're reading "Horatio Lyle" book 1 - I'm going to re-read that one next weekend, prior to reading the sequel, The Obsidian Dagger. I'd read it now, but I'm currently re-reading "The Keys to the Kingdom" in anticipation of getting my hands on Lady Friday !

Yes, I felt like I read Horatio Lyle very quickly during the Cybils, and I wanted to read it again more slowly before I review it. I'm enjoying it even more the second time around. Her use of language and her wit are delightful!

Oh, and we're definitely looking forward to reading Lady Friday! We're also listening to the Harry Potter books in audio while we drive, in preparation for July!

Oh I'll re-read HP in July, probably ! I want to read the whole series from beginning to end in one fell swoop, so no point in my starting now, even if I am reading fewer novels at present !
